Source: The obituary is from a collection by Fauniel Hershberger, saved the 1950's, 60's and 70's. She was a life long resident of Fountain County Indiana.  The collection is now housed at Crawfordsville District Public Library.

Mrs. Helen L. Hooker, 66, of Kingman, Ind., Route 2, died at 10 a.m. Friday (Feb. 20, 1976) at the Vermillion County Hospital in Clinton. She was born July 11, 1909 in Terre Haute and was a member of the Eighth Avenue Baptist Church of Terre Haute. She is survived by her husband James, a daughter, Mrs. Sally Brockway of Kingman; a son James of Indianapolis; a half-brother, John Rowe of Shelbyville, Tenn., a stepbrother, Marcel Rowe of Talahoma, Tenn., and six grandchildren. Services in North Terre Haute. Burial in Barnhart Cemetery in West Terre Haute.   --waw
